USSFA JACK SNYDER SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

 

The United States Sports and Fitness Association has announced the recipients of the 2008 Jack R. Snyder Scholarships.  For the past seven years, the USSFA has awarded $1,000 scholarships to forty young men who have been involved in the USSFA High School Boys Basketball Tournament.  The criteria used in the selection of these recipients include academics, leadership, involvement in school activities and community activities as well as participation in the USSFA Tournament.

 

This year’s winners include the following young men:

 

·        Spencer Shannon, New Albany High School

·        Adam Persinger, Triton Central High School

·        Trent Crandall, Lapel High School

·        Marcus Bledsoe, Cardinal Ritter High School

·        Grant Fulton, Anderson Highland High School

·        Darin Price, Southmont High School

 

The athletes received their award Wednesday June 25 during the 2008 USSFA Banquet at Jonathon Byrd’s Cafeteria.  A huge thank you goes out to Jonathan Byrd’s Cafeteria for sponsoring the meals and banquet room.
